Pollination Partnership Program

More Than a Hive: A Whole-Centre Journey

    🌿What It’s All About

We believe bee hives should be more than a feature - they should be a living part of the learning environment.

By partnering with us, your centre becomes a Pollination Partner, joining a carefully considered community of early learning spaces that value biodiversity, nature-based learning, and meaningful environmental connection through Australia’s native stingless bees.

Our purpose is simple and enduring:
To place stingless bees at the heart of the learning journey, building confidence, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of nature’s cycles across the year - in a way that feels authentic, enriching, and lasting.

🌼 Spreading Pollination Power Across SEQ 🐝

Through our growing network of native stingless bee hives, hundreds of thousands of bees are now at work across South East Queensland — creating living pollination hubs in playgrounds, gardens, and community spaces.

Each hive is home to around 10,000 bees, and each bee can visit up to 1,000 flowers a day. This means a single hive can support up to 10 million flower visits daily — and across our network, this becomes hundreds of millions of flower visits every single day.

Native bees may be small, but their impact is extraordinary. They typically forage within a 500-metre radius of their hive, supporting pollination across nearly 80 hectares per site — the equivalent of more than 100 soccer fields. Across our expanding network, this creates a quiet yet powerful force for local biodiversity.

But these hives do more than support flowers. They inspire curiosity, spark conversation, and nurture care for the natural world. With every wingbeat, our pollinators are helping children learn, gardens flourish, and ecosystems thrive.

Let’s keep planting, learning, and buzzing forward — together. 🐝

Our Native Bee Hive Wrap

Teralba Park Honey are incredibly proud to introduce the artist behind our 2025 Spring Hive artwork - Hailah, an 11-year-old First Nations artist from Tamworth, NSW, whose powerful creativity has captured the spirit of the Native Bee in a way that is both deeply personal and profoundly meaningful. This one-of-a-kind piece tells the Story of the Native Bee through Hailah’s unique lens - blending culture, the environment, and imagination.

A Word from the Artist

My name is Hailah, my name means Halo around the Moon and it is often said when there is a halo around the moon it will be a crazy wild night. My mum says that suits me perfectly because I have always had trouble sleeping and even now I do all my art in the night-time.

I am 11 years old and was born on the 4 October 2013 in Tamworth, NSW. My mum was born in Maitland NSW and my Dad was born in Tennant Creek in the NT. I live on Gomeroi Country but my Aboriginal heritage is Wambaya tribe.

I have three little brothers, my mum and dad both come from big families so I have a lot of cousins, aunties and uncles. I have always loved art but feel connected to Aboriginal art and I love telling stories through pictures and paintings. I feel inspired by being on country, travelling, and listening to stories of creation and the dreamtime.

In my art I enjoy using bright colours and often I will mix it with soft pastel colours. It is contemporary Aboriginal art. I enjoy painting Native Australian animals, native plants and the story of the sky and the sea. I'm so proud of my culture and I am proud to continue sharing stories of the longest continuing culture in the world.
